Hello everyone - I thought I might put fingers to keyboard and give you an account of my hectic life. 2008 was a busy, exciting and challenging year for me on several fronts. Lots of teaching with Gin and Christie, moving house, completing Certificate IV in Pilates (whew!), and just to add some excitement, topped off with a wonderful four weeks trekking in Nepal.

This particular trek in the company of five fit and enthusiastic friends from Hobart to the Gokyo Ri (with stunning views of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Aba Dablam to name drop a few massifs along the way), and then over the Renjo Pass to 18000 feet was a tough but fabulous experience. It was made all the more successful and enjoyable thanks to the excellent trekking company we used called Nepal Myths and Mountain Trails who organised our itinerary and accompanied us on the trip. Ngima Sherpa is the Managing Director and was our personal guide and I can't speak highly enough of his service and expertise. The photos (including the odd bad hair day) tell the story and after such a huge adventure it's been hard to come down to earth again but great to be able to breathe!

Nonetheless, now 2009 is underway and our Pilates floor sessions have commenced with great enthusiasm demonstrated by our wonderful clients. It's great to see everyone again, and to welcome our new clients, all in fine form and ready to develop or extend their PIlates experience. It's also going to be a big year on the study front for me, as I have enrolled in a Diploma of Professional Pilates with the Pilates International Training Centre (www.pilatesitc.com or email info@pilatesitc.com) in Sydney. Fingers crossed that it won't prove too daunting and that we can all share in the extra knowledge and repertoire that I should bring home after each block training session in Sydney.
